PUERTO NATALES
Puerto Natales is the closest city to Torres del Paine National Park, located only 2hs away from the park. This is the place to go if you are planning on buying fresh food (that you won’t be allowed to bring from Argentina) and to rent camping equipment, if you need to.
Bus Calafate – P Natales from AR$580 per person (5-hour journey)
Daily departures at 5.30a,. 8.30am and 4.00pm
If you need accommodation in Puerto Natales, or to rent camping equipment, we recommend you visit the guys at the Erratic Rock Hostel. They also have a daily briefing at 3pm on information about the National Park.
If you would like to do a full day tour to the National Park from Puerto Natales, you will find tours for about CH$25000
ENTRANCE FEE TO THE TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK: CH$21000
Bus P Natales – Torres del Paine National Park approx. CH$13000 per person for an open return ticket (2.5hs journey). Daily departures 7.50am – 2.30pm
Bus Torres del Paine National Park – Puerto Natales there are different stops and pick up times inside the park:
Administración: 1pm – 6pm
Pudeto: 1.30pm – 7pm
Laguna Amarga: 2.30pm – 7.45pm
Inside the National Park you will find free camping sites (Las Carretas, Italiano and Torres) and paid camping sites (Paine Grande – CH$8000 approx. per person – Los Cuernos – CH$5200 approx. per person and the refugio Chileno).
There is a mini bus inside the Park that goes from Las Torres Hotel to Laguna Amarga. It takes 20min, and costs CH$2500 per person. It works as a means of transportation to go from the entrance/exit of the Park to the entrance/exit of the trekking starting point. Schedule : 9am – 2pm – 7pm.
